a AIESEC em Coimbra para alem de organizar estagio de voluntariado no estrangeiro, também recebe jovens estudantes, a Cidade de Coimbra foi palco este verão de um desses estágios de voluntariado. Fica aqui o testemunho de Victoria Ivanova, uma das envolvidas no projecto :
"Hi to everyone! My name is Victoria Ivanova and I am from Ukraine. I was happy to stay in Coimbra for 1,5 months as an AIESEC trainee participating in the project “Meet your future”. I don’t know where to begin from, I’ll just mention that the time passed in Coimbra was one of the best times in my life and this city, full of kindhearted people, crazy students and historical places has become my home. Portuguese people are the most welcoming and generous people I’ve ever met, I never felt lonely there and didn’t have the smallest wish to go back home. Within our project we delivered several sessions to the summer-school students who turned out to be very interested in us, our countries and cultures, and even if they were not – we never knew that=)

Coimbra is a wonderful city with a lot of entertainments and beautiful places, and Portugal itself is so gorgeous and breathes with rich history and culture…Palms, sun, sents – is the look of Portugal; fish, galao, cakes with cream – are the taste of Portugal; azulejos, manuelino, claustros – are the heritage of Portugal; hospitality, happiness, kindness – is the heart of Portugal; and my heart – is now the home of Portugal. The day I was leaving Coimbra was full of tears and pain, and people in the airport were constantly offering help to me seeing me crying all the time=)

If you want to find a new home somewhere in the west end of Europe , if you want to make your life happy and bright, if you want to find true friends and finally – to see the pure beauty of nature and architecture – go to Coimbra, go to Portugal and you’ll never regret."
